Journal club session: Optimising Medication for Vulnerable Populations: Translating Research to Practice Description: The speakers presented a session focused on medication use in older adults with intellectual disability, by discussing: Findings related to prescribing trends, polypharmacy, and priorities in medication use in this population, The recently developed medicine optimisation tool: Optimising PharmacoTherapy and Improving Medication for Ageing with Intellectual Disability (OPTIMA-ID), and Approaches to support more person-centred, evidence-informed prescribing practices in this population.
