Description: This session explores the design and implementation of the C-SENIoR pragmatic non-randomised controlled trial, a collaborative deprescribing model involving community pharmacists and general practitioners (GPs) to optimise the use of proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) in older adults. It focuses on communication strategies, workflow integration, and real-world challenges of translating evidence-based deprescribing practices into routine primary care. Learning objectives: Describe the components and rationale of a pharmacist–GP collaborative approach in deprescribing PPIs. Identify key communication and coordination mechanisms that support sustained interprofessional deprescribing initiatives. Critically appraise the feasibility and scalability of deprescribing models within existing primary care frameworks. For more information, visit: deprescribingnetwork.ca/journal-club
