I am making a short video series on an LS swap we are doing on an FB RX7 here at Drifting Dad Performance. I want to show the details of the process and any tips and tricks I use to make the process easier. The donor car is a 1985 RX7, and the LS engine is a LM7 with 5.3 liters of displacement from a 2005 Chevy Suburban. Since this is a mild street car, a T5 world class transmission from a V6 4th gen Camaro will be used. In this video, the Drifting Dad Performance LS Swapped FB RX7 gets the 12A rotary engine removed, and I start prepping the LS engine for clean up before I work on replacing the components that prevent it from fitting in the RX7 engine bay. There is a lot of grime on this engine! TECH TIP: Take the time to take measurements on the RX7 chassis and the LS engine and transmission you are using. This will be helpful in determining where the shifter needs to be to line up with the stock location, and if you need to reconfigure the radiator mounting. In this car, we are keeping the AC, so I need to determine where to put the AC condenser as well. Please let me know what you think of the progress, or if you have any questions! #FBRX7LSSWAP #LSRX7 #LSFBRX7
