A bunch of ideas I churned out in a day, eventually leading to the piece "wandering cleric." This is mostly just a bunch of random ideas I came up with, but I also made a weird cover of "Over the Rainbow" wedged somewhere in there. LORE A vast majority of the melodies that I concocted in this video came from a single day, eventually resulting in the idea for "wandering cleric." Like that piece, these ideas are orchestrate for two orchestras: one panned to the right, and another mirrored to the left. The original intension was to create a "dueling orchestras" piece, where each orchestra fought a musical war, trading blows and occasionally coming together. All the while, a central string quartet would act as a narrator of sorts or perhaps represent a set of protagonists within the larger conflict. I ended up abandoning that idea because I couldn't think of any ideas, but the larger number of string sections and alternate audio panning was fun to work with! I had to think about more than just what instrument was playing, but which side it would be played. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this little collection of unfinished ideas! Also, I feel you can tell I started to lock in as the ideas progressed, which what was able to push me past creative block into making "wandering cleric."
