THERMOPLASTIC APPLICATION METHOD Thermoplastic extrusion applications are used for applying both flat and profiled lines. Flat lines are mainly used in well-illuminated areas as urban roads, where the lines do not need high retro-reflectivity levels. Since profiled markings provide higher visibility in wet conditions and at night, as well as the acoustic warning you get when driving on the line, they provide a higher traffic safety. COLD PAINT APPLICATION METHOD Cold paint application is used for making flat lines by means of one or more cold paint guns. With one gun you can apply line widths up to 25 cm, depending on the chosen nozzle, the line thickness, application speed, and other work conditions. You can choose from a wide range of nozzle sizes depending on your requirements to the line. The width of the line can also be adjusted by physically changing the distance from the gun to the road and by using more than one gun. Depending on your choice, up to three guns can be fitted on the standard Borum retainer. For the special airport retainer up to 5 airless guns can be fitted.
