Everyone knows that vengeance belongs to God, but no one likes his timing. We want those who have wronged us to pay for it now and pay for it good! It requires wisdom to take the long view of such matters. That is why Proverbs 24, verses 28-29, says: 28 Do not testify against your neighbor without cause— would you use your lips to mislead? 29 Do not say, “I’ll do to them as they have done to me; I’ll pay them back for what they did.” Don't allow anger and your own sense of justice to lead you to sin. Otherwise, you may find yourself guilty of worse behavior than the person who wronged you in the first place. This is another episode in the series entitled, "The Sayings of the Wise."
