I made this channel to help my students learn physiology on their own time, at their own pace. To help others do the same, I published my lectures. This video reviews how myelin increases the speed of electrical signals (conduction velocity) in neurons by using saltatory conduction. Additionally, it reviews multiple sclerosis, a debilitating disease caused by the loss or damage of neurons.
