Fun fact, the sandy ridge below, to our right, used to be home to lots of European Bee-eater birds "Guêpiers d'Europe". Sadly, after the farmer had to redo his fence posts, that noise and disturbance moved the birds on, never to return to this site for nesting. Side note, you can see how George's ears get irritated by small flies - which is why I later bought him an all-in-one ear and fly mask, as I was gradually able to change his tack.
