Enjoy this relaxing walk in Giethoorn, one of the most beautiful villages on Earth, which is among the Top 5 sights in the Netherlands. Facts about this village: there are no roads inside the village but there are channels and pathways for walking and bycicle there are 176 bridges, half of them is private there is a main channel and smaller side channels between the houses, like fishbone you can leave your car in one of the parking places near the village, and walk or hire a boat each year in spring, they have to renovate the bridges because the boats collide to them there can be "traffic jam" on the channel especially in the afternoon, when all the tourists arrive you can see this in the last 5 minutes of the video a boat tour takes 2-3 hours and also goes through the lake near the village the channel is about one meter deep, but the water is brown, you cannot see the bottom there live less than 3000 people in the village, most of the fairy tale houses are on private islands or peninsulas almost all houses have reed/thatched roof - resource available near the village it is an hour and few minutes drive from Utrecht and Amsterdam(mostly 100km/h on the highway during the day) there is a museum, a church, a school, few souvenir shops and few special shops(shells, pottery, crystal, etc), several restaurants near the channel
