Drive in the Homeland of🏹🍎 Willhelm Tell | 🇨🇭Switzerland

This is a virtual drive from Altdorf to Linthal through the famous Klausenpass(1948m), which connects East and Central Switzerland. This alpine pass connects the canton of Uri with the canton of Glarus during summer season. Both cantons are german speaking but with slightly dialect difference in swiss german, and also the architecture has some differences. You can see also Willhelm Tell's🏹(legendary swiss hero) hometown Bürglen in the first part of the video. It is the next village from Altdorf(capital of Uri canton), where you can see his statue. The border is however not on the pass, but a bit on the other side, so Uri has a part from the other side of the pass (Urnerboden). This has an interesting legendary explanation involving two runners and two roosters. See Wikipedia for the details. You can do beautiful tours from the pass to glaciers and a small lake(Griesslisee). High mountain peaks up to 3600 metres are surrounding this pass, and a few km wide and long glaciersystem is connecting these peaks.
