Kat was 68 years old when she went missing on April 11, 2019 in Diablo canyon, San Felipe desert, Baja California, Mexico. Kat Hammontre, 68, and her dog, Tootsie, went hiking Thursday, April 11, with a group of about six friends but she started to have difficulty walking the trail. She told her friends to go on without her and that she would wait in the parking lot. However, when the group returned to the parking lot, they did not see Kat or her dog. Kat was an experienced hiker and was with her dog Tootsie as well as her husband and six other hikers.. Kat hurt her foot early on the hike and the others went ahead to see a waterfall.. they were only gone 90 minutes but when they returned Kat and her dog were no where do be found.
