A concert of Schubert Lieder recorded in a live performance at the UW-Madison Mead Witter School of Music's Hamel Music Center in Collins Recital Hall, January 28, 2024. The performers were faculty and students at the Meade Witter School of Music. The program centered around solo songs, vocal ensembles and chamber music from the years 1822 - 1824, the period during which Schubert became gravely ill, and in which he wrote many of his greatest works, including the song cycle "Die Schöne Müllerin" The Viennese Fortepiano, is a modern copy based on Graf and Bösendorfer instruments from the late 1820's, built by Rodney Regier of Freeport, Maine.
