A concert of Schubert Lieder recorded in a live performance at the UW-Madison Mead Witter School of Music's Hamel Music Center in Collins Recital Hall. T The performers were faculty and students at the Meade Witter School of Music. The program centered around solo songs, vocal ensembles and chamber music from the years 1822 - 1824, the period during which Schubert became gravely ill, and in which he wrote many of his greatest works, including the song cycle "Die Schöne Müllerin" The Viennese Fortepiano, is a modern copy based on Graf and Bösendorfer instruments from the late 1820's, built by Rodney Regier of Freeport, Maine.
