Not only the beta testing servers were all closed but they also already opened their final long-term testing, staycation program. Which means they are ready to release and will have the same players openly testing each update moving forwards like they have for their other games such as Genshin, ZZZ or Honkai. Also, as I have mentioned in my previous videos, the last closed beta was already version 0.85, where the actual release should be the 1.0, meaning there should be only a few more significant versions and fixes before the actual launch. With the sudden news of the game's potential release around the corner, a lot of you have been waiting by playing other games such as Heartopia or Animal Crossing's new update. So in this video I'll quickly summarise the most important things you need to know that set these games apart. is it Gacha? We do not have confirmation of how Petit Planet gacha will work like. But since it's a hoyoverse game we can expect it to work similar to other hoyo games. 1 - I think they will have a main banner for outfit set and a banner for furniture in the same theme, as well as a standard banner for outfit & furniture as well. I believe this is the most probably, because in the closed beta we had a premium shop with its own currency, where you could buy outfits & furniture pieces. 2 - They could also add an additional Luca banner, just like the weapon banners in genshin. But this would be an extra, not the main. Lucas are items you use to customize your planet, for example the colour of your cliffs, or add sparkles to your ocean waters. World-altering stuff. 3 - Lastly, they could have a main banner for neighbours, each neighbour brings a Luca, so that could make worth it however to find neighbours you need to travel through the starsea. To travel the starsea you need batteries for your car. And I believe the batteries will be the same as energy, not gacha. (zzz fun fact is also called battery) Character creation is very similar, with different options of hair and clothing. Both Heartopia & Petit planet are live-service games, so they will receive constant updates, with more furniture, more outfits, and more content. Which can keep things exciting in the long term. Then we have the main game mechanics, which are the abilities and tools. In both games you can shake trees, gather items, go fishing, catching bugs, pickaxe trees & rocks for wood and stone, crafting multiple recipes in bulk, and more. In petit planet there are also some extra features: Fishing in sweet water and salty water differs, in sweet water you just need to mindlessly press and hold. In salty water, you have a minigame just like heartopia where your rod will snap if you pull for too long. For bugcatching in petit planet you can sneak as well, since some bugs will be harder or easier to catch. Also you can showcase your items and gift flowers by holding items in your hands. You have a lint roller that lets you quickly pave your planet without having to enter build mode if you want. And we also have the crab-catching tool which is my favourite ability so far. Then we have the farming and watering can. In petit planet you use a shovel to plant and in both games you use a watering can. In heartopia the watering can is one slot, while petit is 3 slots in area. Also In petit planet, there is another use to your shovel which is to to dig up meteorites, similar to animal crossing fossils.
