In today's video, you get to see a full, in depth take into what we did on our first two days of our Welsh road trip. We started the first day off with a hike around Hafren Forest. It was one of the most gorgeous hikes I have done this year, with perfect weather and company to go with it. The trail we hiked was 'The Source Of The Severn". This trail takes you along a beautiful board walk, through the forest, that sits along a stream and a couple of waterfalls. It is the most stunning of walks, that keeps astounding you of Wales's beauty as you head further along the trail. After you come to the end of the board walk, it starts to take you higher up into the hills, where you are surrounded by the most scenic of views. Once you come to the point, you take the same trail back. There may be other routes around that lead back to the car park but this trail we did, just takes you back the way you came. After we got back to the landy, we headed off to the campsite that we were staying at for the night. Once we got to the campsite, me and Jo put our tents up then made a start on cooking up our dinner. We made up some couscous, with vegetables and Vegan Steak, which we got to enjoy with this amazing view of the mountains in front of us. To finish off the day we took some pictures of the amazing surroundings and finished with some hot chocolate, and green tea to drink before heading to bed. Day 2 of our road trip started off on the gloomy side, however we didn't let that stop us. After we had sorted ourselves out for the day and packed everything back into the landy, we headed off to our first place of the day, which was going to be an abandoned ruin. However, because of how we were doing with time and the weather and finding a place to park we decided to head to the second place on the list and come back to this place another time. We made our way to the abandoned Pink House, which once was an amazing time capsule, but now it sits on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere with very little left inside. When we walked to the place we thought it was going to be a fail of an explore, but as we made our way around the back we came across an open window and entered in. We didn't stay too long at the place as there were not a lot of things to see, this being said there was still a nice piano which made for some lovely pictures. Moving on from this place, we took some more pictures of the stunning surroundings where we had parked and made friends with this lonesome goat. After getting back on the road to head to the next place, again we had doubts about this place due to the surrounding area and whether it was still open. So once we parked up in a little village we decided to grab a drink in a lovely cafe and get warm for a bit and decide what we was going to do. Me and Gary decided we will take a walk to the place and see if it is a possible explore. And luckily it was still open. We spent a good time in this place getting footage and pictures due to the scale of it. It was a perfect time capsule with some stunning rooms and some rooms that were a bit trashed and messed up. However, it definitely was a good explore, and we were glad to risk checking it out. After we finished exploring this place, we headed back to the landy and made our way to the campsite for the night. Thankfully, the weather picked up and was dry for putting up our tents.... and what can I say about the view from this campsite. It overlooked the sea/beach and it was just stunning. Again after taking a load of photos we had dinner, which we decided on chips instead of cooking ourselves, just incase the weather was to change again. So we headed back to the village we were in for our drinks and sat in this cute little fish and chips place. I went with chips and battered cauliflower bites, which where delicious! When we finished up here, we went back to the campsite and got to witness the amazing sunset before going to bed. Day 1 and Day 2 was really enjoyable on this road trip and I can't wait to show you what we got up to on Day 3, so keep a look out for when that video comes. I hope you enjoyed this chunk of a video, and leave a thumbs up and a sub if you are not already subscribed to it.
