The Bowmore 12 offers an appetising combo of bonfire smoke and caramelised pineapple with a heady hit of tropical fruit on the nose. The palate reflects the typical Islay smokiness coming from peat. Surprisingly the whisky has fruity elements coming through with elements of tobacco surrounding them. It offers a rather soft and relaxing finish with great balance. This whisky is great for pairing with seafood and red meat, leading to intriguing conversations, great camaraderie which was in abundance at the soiree we called Bowled over by Bowmore in Bombay, Slainte!
