Kivumbi, 24 Others Appear at Gombe Court Under Tight Security Over Terrorism Charges

Security has been tightened at Gombe Court in Butamba district as NUP MP Muhammad Muwanga Kivumbi and his co-accused were returned to court today to face a judge on terrorism charges. This time people were allowed to reach the court although were forbidden to enter inside only the mother of the MP was allowed to enter and spoke to her son. Lawyers Lukwago Erias, Segona Medard, Muyizi Samuel, Basarirwa Asuman, Kenneth Paul Kakande and others are in the case along with senior NUP officials led by Lop Joel Senyonyi, party secretary Lewis Lubongooya, Butambala MP Aisha Kabanda, Zaake Francis of Mityana and other MPs attended in person Kivumbi Muhammad is charged with terrorism and today he was joined by 24 others on the same charge despite the opposition of the lawyers of the detainees including Medard Lubega Segona, Erias Lukwago, Paul Kakande Muyizi and Asuman Basalirwa and others
