★ WANNA MORE VIDS? https://goo.gl/OSRzNL In high school there was this kid who didn’t even lift and had a better body than all the football, basketball, baseball, wrestlers, and track athletes who all lifted weights. I remember being amazed at the power of genetics back then. Some people with amazing genetics who don’t even exercise or eat lots of protein will look better than some people with very poor genes (natural skeletal shape, along with genes for building muscle and being lean) who lift weights properly and eat perfectly. This is a tough pill to swallow. I’ve seen women enter my gym with incredible butts who don’t lift or play sports or exercise much at all for that matter. They’re consuming far less protein than optimal. I’ve seen women who follow my programs and consume adequate protein and engage in progressive overload and yet still don’t possess much glute development. Many of the women with amazing butts will point out that they didn’t have round butts to begin with and will show a before/after as evidence that it wasn’t genetics that built their butts. However, this isn’t exactly true, as you have a genetic starting point (how you look when you don’t lift) and a genetic response to doing everything right (you could have a flat butt with no training but then quickly get a round butt when you start hip thrusting, etc.). So just because you had a pancake butt before you lifted doesn’t mean you have poor glute building genetics. It just means you had a poor genetic starting point for your glutes. Many of my clients with less developed glutes train just as hard as the clients with well developed glutes. You can’t control your genes (yet). All you can control is your mindset. Everyone can improve upon the appearance of their backside to some extent. But more important, everyone can gain significantly more strength in their glutes and become more functional. I hope you end up with a big, round booty, but if not, it’s okay. There’s much more to you than your butt.
