More works for concert band or wind orchestra, https://carlospellicer.es/ The magnetic field is one of the fundamental phenomena in the field of physics, it is the property that different objects have to exert actions at a distance, including attraction. 'Magnetic' is in no way a musical work based on physics or mathematics, but rather on that difficult to explain ability that some instruments have, including the horn. A magnetic ability to transmit warmth or forcefulness in equal parts, something that hooks those who listen to it. The various parts of the work, right from the introduction, are in fact totally opposite poles that seek complementarity in the global sense of the work. An indefinite, ambiguous introduction that only seeks to forcefully present one of the main parts of the work to later dilute itself in the most ethereal and natural warmth possible starting from the most useful register of the horn, the perfect register for the maximum expressiveness of this brass instrument. 'Magnetic' was commissioned by the International Horn Congress 2024 (CITGUAD) to be premiered during the celebration of this congress in December 2024, by the Societat Unió Musical Santa Cecília de Guadassuar and the solo horn of the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra: Antonio Lasheras Torres. ____________ El campo magnético es uno de los fenómenos fundamentales en el campo de la física, es la propiedad que tienen diferentes objetos para ejercer acciones a distancia, entre ellas la atracción. 'Magnetic' no es en ningún caso un trabajo musical fundamentado en la física o la matemática, sino justamente en esa capacidad poco explicable que tienen algunos instrumentos, entre ellos la trompa. Una capacidad magnética de transmitir calidez o contundencia a partes iguales, algo que engancha a quienes la escuchan. Las diversas partes del trabajo, ya desde la introducción, son en realidad polos totalmente opuestos que buscan la complementación en el sentido global de la obra.
