Duarsini is an offbeat tourist place in Purulia district. The main focus of this place is the weekly tribal market which takes place only on Saturday . Besides Duarsini devi temple, Satgurung river, dalma range, various tribal villages and lush green beauty of this place make this spot more attractive. Duarsini market/ haat takes place only on Saturday just beside the river named Satgurung. I stayed in a dormitory run by West Bengal State Forest Development Agency (wbsfda). One can spend a day in this remote tribal village and grasp the essence of an authentic tribal village. Duarsini haat is situated just five hundred metres away from the eco tourism centre. 👉Best time to visit Duarsini: Duarsini could be explored throughout the year even at monsoon but the best time to visit this place is from October to March. 👉How to reach Duarsini from Kolkata: There is no direct train available from Kolkata, but the nearest station is Ghatshila. One can easily reach Duarsini from Ghatshila by hiring a cab or auto rickshaw. Ghatshila to Duarsini distance is about 28 km.
