In this video, I show you how to make the perfect banana bread! INGREDIENTS: BANANA BREAD Butter (1/2 cup, 112 grams) Brown sugar (1 cup) Mashed bananas (2 cups/11 small bananas/ 8 large bananas) Eggs (2) Vanilla extract (1 tsp) Salt (1 tsp) Cinnamon (1 tsp) Nutmeg (2 pinches) Baking powder (1 tsp) Baking soda (1 tsp) Flour (2 cups) Walnuts (1 cup) CREAM CHEESE FROSTING Butter (2 tbsp) Cream cheese (4 tbsp) Vanilla (1/2 tsp) Icing sugar (1/2 cup) DIRECTIONS: BANANA BREAD 1. Make sure your bananas are properly ripe. If they're too firm and fresh just put them in a baking tray and place them in a 180 c oven for around 20 minutes. 2. Peel your bananas and mash them with a fork until only small chunks remain. You don't have to be very thorough at this point. 3. Add your butter and sugar to a separate bowl and whisk until well combined. 4. Add your eggs, vanilla, and other spices and ingredients and whisk again. 5. Go in with your banana mash next and mix. 6. Add your flour to the mixture and mix with a spatula and then add your walnuts. 7. Preheat your oven to 180c and butter a loaf pan. 8. Transfer your batter and fill to the top and place in the middle of your oven. 9. Bake for around 40 minutes but it can take up to 50 as well. A good way to check is to prick the middle with a toothpick and if it comes out clean your done. 10. Take it out and let it rest for at least 2 hours before cutting into it. CUTTING IT TOO SOON WILL AFFECT THE MOISTURE OF THE BREAD. CREAM CHEESE FROSTING: 1. Combine your softened butter, cream cheese, and vanilla and whisk till smooth and well combined. DO NOT USE MELTED BUTTER IT WON'T WORK. 2. Add in your sugar through a sieve to catch any lumps and whisk again until well combined and creamy. 3. Place in your fridge for 20-30 minutes to firm up.
