The BEST FALL DRIVE in the USA!!! Kancamagus Hwy & Flume Gorge, New Hampshire (RV East Coast Trip)

WOW! This was literally the most beautiful day of travel we have ever experienced!! We woke up in a Walmart parking lot with 7 other RVs all doing the same thing... boondocking in the beauty of the White Mountains! I think it was the most specacular Walmart ever :) The plan today is to drive the Kancamagus Highway (and we can't seem to pronouce it correctly!). This is a 34 mile scenic hwy running from Conway to Lincoln, New Hampshire. You can make this drive in less than an hour, but that defeats the purpose! You are supposed to stop and enjoy the beauty. And boy did we stop! Not a mile into the journey we pulled off for the first time. There are lots of small pull-offs or full parking lots where you can walk and explore and take in the beauty. We walked on giant boulders in the Swift River, we walked throgh a covered bridge... we saw mountains and valleys and leaves of all colors. It was unimaginably beautiful!! It took us most of the day on the drive as we stopped so many times, but when we finally made it to Lincoln, we went about 10 minutes north to the Flume Gorge. This is a must see... and bring your hiking shoes!! It is a two mile trail up and down some steep inclines, but so worth it when you make it to the gorge...
