British 🇬🇧 Family Living In Japan | March Vlog Budget And Activities | Blossom Season

Every month I share the activities that we take part in along with the budget so that anyone who is thinking of moving to #japan can get an idea of the cost of living in Japan. 🌸 Spring in Japan Vlog Update 🌸 The blossoms are starting to come out and it’s such a beautiful time to be in Japan! I never experienced the blossoms until moving here, and now I completely understand why so many people visit Japan during this season. We saw some gorgeous plum blossom bonsai trees. They were so beautiful that I’d love to have one at home… although I do have a habit of accidentally killing most of my plants! 😅 There was also an amazing shishi-mai (lion dance) show. It was such a great reminder of how special Japanese culture is, and my daughter even managed to get a photo with the performers when they finished, which she was really excited about. Of course we had to try some of the delicious street food while we were out, and it made the whole day even better. We’ve also been exploring more places lately, and I’m feeling much more confident with driving here in Japan—and more importantly… parking! 🚗 Another big moment for us was completing our first community task. We were honestly really nervous about doing it, but the support from our neighbours has been unbelievable. It meant so much, and we’re hoping to keep helping out and do our best not to let anyone down. On the practical side of life, we also submitted my husband’s tax return. It took us about 1 hour and 20 minutes this year—longer than last year—but it seemed like they had fewer staff this time.
