Join us for a live conversation with Storm Team 8 Meteorologist Jon Rivas. We will go over the 8 day forecast and answer any questions. Hopefully you enjoyed the warmth yesterday. Temperatures will stay above average, but strong winds will make it feel like the 20s and 30s through the morning and afternoon. North northwest winds will gust in the range of 25 to 35 mph, with the strongest winds for the morning and staying breezy into the afternoon. Temperatures will continue to drop into the evening, but the winds will slowly weaken overnight. Plan for wind chills in the teens and 20s for any evening plans you have as we settle in the upper teens for morning lows Saturday morning. We will be back on the climb as we proceed through the rest of the weekend. Highs will be near 40 for Saturday thanks to yet another strong southerly breeze and near 50 on Sunday. Saturday will still have a chilly feel with wind chills in the 20s for most of the day. We continue to climb into Monday as well with a high potential of record breaking warmth. Highs will be near and into the 60s for central and southwestern Iowa. This will be the warmest day of the week and potentially the warmest day of the year so far. Tuesday will bring the temperature drop as we see 40s return for the rest of the week. As of now, we will stay dry with only slight rain chances possible.
