Zimbabwean opposition leader Nelson Chamisa has announced his return to active politics just two years after quitting his party. Chamisa told journalist in Harare on Friday that his main agenda for the next six months will be to unite and revive the opposition movement in Zimbabwe. Chamisa maintains he was victorious in the 2023 presidential election and that he will continue his fight for legitimacy against the ruling ZANU PF party and President Emmerson Mnangagwa. During Chamisa's absence, ZANU PF has mobilised its support base and intends to change the country's constitution and allow President Mnangagwa to extend his tenure in office beyond the current legal limit which ends in 2028.
