San Diego, Calif. — November 3, 2025, 10:15 p.m. — A motorcycle pursuit that reached speeds of more than 130 miles per hour ended Monday night in a quiet Allied Gardens neighborhood after police tracked the suspect from the air and took him into custody. According to the San Diego Police Department (SDPD), the incident began when officers attempted to stop a motorcycle for speeding on Interstate 8 East near Hotel Circle in Mission Valley. The rider failed to yield, prompting officers to initiate a pursuit. SDPD’s ABLE helicopter was overhead and quickly began tracking the fleeing motorcycle. Due to the extremely high speeds and public safety risk, ground units terminated the pursuit as soon as the rider exited onto Waring Road. The helicopter then continued monitoring from above in “tracking mode.” The motorcyclist eventually pulled up to a residence on Hillsboro Street in Allied Gardens, where police units established a perimeter and made verbal callouts. Two males and one female exited the home, and the male rider was arrested on suspicion of felony evading. Video from the scene shows an older-style motorcycle parked outside, which witnesses initially believed to be the pursuit vehicle. However, sources later clarified that the actual motorcycle involved in the 130+ MPH pursuit was found near the front door of the residence and matched the description of the sport bike seen in the chase. No collisions or injuries were reported during the incident. Several neighbors told 619 News Media that the same rider has been a longtime disturbance in the neighborhood, often seen speeding and revving loudly late at night. Residents said they were relieved to see an arrest after months of ongoing noise and safety concerns. The investigation remains ongoing.
