In the waters of Saronida Bay lies the wreck of a Focke Wulf FW 200 C-3 Condor, a German aircraft from World War II. Originally designed as a passenger airliner, this aircraft type was later adapted for use as a long-range reconnaissance plane and bomber. On September 5, 1941, the FW 200 took off from Elefsina Airport, but tragically crashed into Saronida Bay with the loss of all six crew members. Today, the wreck lies at a depth of 50 meters, broken into scattered fragments spread across an area of more than 100 square meters. While the engines are missing, divers can still see recognizable sections of the fuselage and other components. Most of what remains are smaller pieces that testify to the violent impact. With excellent visibility common at this dive site, the wreck offers a unique opportunity for divers to explore the remains of a once proud aircraft and reflect on its history. 🙌 Support What We Do Thanks for watching our video! 👉 Support our dives & expeditions by subscribing: / @addicted2h2o 📱 Socials & Website: 🌐 Website: https://addicted2h2o.com 📸 Instagram: / addicted.2h2o 📘 Facebook: / addicted2h2o #FW200 #WreckDiving #WWIIPlane #AircraftWreck #SaronidaBay #UnderwaterExploration #Addicted2H2O
