Correction - Max rpm for the gear box is only 2300rpm Got the reverse kit mounted and geared down big time to keep the reverse box running at a reasonable rpm. To find out what the rpm going into the gear box multiply the engine speed by the tooth count of the drive sprocket, and divide by the tooth count of the input shaft sprocket on the reverse box. i.e. 3600*9/37=876 for my sprockets. At full governed rpm, that makes the input shaft spin roughly 876 rpm. This is true for clutches and most torque converters that end at a 1:1 ratio. You know the saying "2 heads are better than 1"...
