Sega Technical Institute was a unique division of Sega developers and visionaries, tasked with bringing out new software for Sega's consoles. They wouldn't be around for long, but they did create some memorable games in their short and storied run. I'm now on Patreon! The story of Sonic Xtreme is brutal. You should look it up and read just how bad things were mishandled and just how petty some of the squabbling was. 2. Greendog is included on the off chance I missed something somewhere about its development. Interactive Designs definitely did the work, I'm just not sure what STI had to do with it. 3. Games captured via the Mega SG. 4. STI had a number of cancelled projects thanks to their Sonic endeavors. Sonic took priority over everything. 5. Yuji Naka was famously difficult to get along with. So vindictive was this dude, he actually threatened to quit Sega if STI was allowed to use the Nights engine for Sonic Xtreme. The fate of the company be damned. 6. Sonic Spinball is without question STI's weakest game IMO. I understand people love it, but man I couldn't stand it.
