**VEGAN HOT CHOCOLATE RECIPE** 1/2 cup Elmhurst® unsweetened hazelnut milk 1/2 cup Elmhurst® unsweetened walnut milk 3/4 cup cacao powder 1/2 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon Ground Cardamom 1/8 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper Your Favorite Sweetener, to taste Pinch of sea salt Directions: Add the hazelnut and walnut milks to a small saucepan over low-medium heat and whisk in all remaining ingredients. Bring to a slow simmer, remove from heat, and serve immediately topped with whipped cream (recipe below!) - **DAIRY-FREE WHIPPED CREAM RECIPE** 1 cup Elmhurst® unsweetened almond milk 1 tablespoon granulated sugar 1/2 tablespoon arrowroot powder 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch Directions: Create a double boiler by adding water to a small saucepan and placing a heat-proof bowl on top. Bring the water to a simmer and add the almond milk, arrowroot powder, cornstarch, and vanilla extract. Whisk constantly until warmed and thickened slightly. Remove from heat and, using a hand mixer, whip until thick and creamy. Do this in intervals, allowing the mixture to sit for 5 minutes and then mixing again. Add the sugar once you see the mixture start to thicken into whipped cream and whip until smooth.
