Driving in Greece: A2 E90 & A1 E75 from Thessaloniki to Veria / Αυτοκινητόδρομοι Θεσσαλονίκη Βέροια

Welcome back to Greece! In this video you can ride along on motorways A2 E90 and A1 E75 from Thessaloniki to Veria. It's been a couple of years since my last visit to Greece so the videos from Greece on the channel were quite dated. Now there is some new content on the way. This time we also stayed in the North of the country but drove far more West towards Albania, driving most of the A2. I already featured most of A2 East of Thessaloniki, this time I drove it in the other direction and all the way from Alexandroupoli near the border with Türkiye. This video however starts on the ring of Thessaloniki where the A2 and A1 ultimately join up for a short stretch. I was a bit surprised by the condition of the highway, considering you need to pay toll for it. I think there is quite a bit of cost-saving potential here by not having manned tollbooths every 30-50 kilometers or so but instead using ticket-based toll or better yet, all electronic toll. After the joint section of A1 / A2, we continue on the A2 in the western Direction towards Veria.
