“How Did I Get Breast Cancer?” I Have No Family History & I am Healthy | Bethany’s Story

When Bethany was in her late 20s, she found a lump in her breast. She has no family history of cancer and considered herself a very healthy person. Because of her dense breast tissue, the lump ended up being a swollen lymph node or a cyst and it went away. Over time, she learned how to monitor them. But when she was 34 she found another lump, which she decided to not get checked, and it turned out to be cancer. In this conversation, she shares how she advocated for her health - going against her beliefs, how she went from not believing in prescription medicine to blending the natural healing world with Western medicine and how her medical team’s “humanity” made her stronger.
