Osun Grove is a sacred grove and shrine along the banks of the Osun river just outside the city of Osogbo. It is one of the 6 UNESCO world heritage sites in Nigeria. The grove is one of the vast undisturbed areas of land in Africa. Fishing, farming and hunting are forbidden on 75 hectares of sacred land. This is where the annual Osun-Oshogbo festival takes place. The festival attracts over 100,000 people both local and foreign annually.
