Neurodiversity in the workplace

“Neurodiversity” is a word used to explain the unique ways people think, learn and interact with the world around them. It is estimated that about 15 to 20% of the population is neurodiverse. Staff with neurodiverse conditions, such as ADHD and autism, may face additional challenges in the workplace and need reasonable accommodations to allow them perform their roles effectively. The HSE’s Le Chéile Network provides support, visibility and a voice to staff with disabilities, long-term health conditions and neurodiverse conditions.
