DYA717 Japan Okinawa March 3, 2026 Miscellaneous photos of a casual visit to Okinawa. March 3 – 6:30 a.m. free, simple, Japanese breakfast at the Toyoko Inn; mostly choices of musubis. Google says today will be 64-72 degrees. It was really windy so it felt cold. I’m in the Omoromachi area. It used to be part of the U.S. military land and is now a pretty modern commercial-residential area. There is the Okinawan Prefectural Museum and Art Museum. A couple of large shopping complexes; T-Galleria is for luxury goods shoppers and Naha Main Place is a big complex with restaurants, food court, movie complex, supermarket, department stores, etc. This place is part of SAN-A which is Okinawa’s largest supermarket. I walked around Omoromachi a bit and then went to Kokusai Dori where I dropped into a mom-&-pop place for Goya Champuru w/draft Orion beers. Got a photo of a Hinamatsuri display at the monorail station. Today, March 3rd is Girls’ Day. This video is a composite of misc photos I usually share with family and friends.
