Please join the Columbus Chamber for a virtual panel discussion and Q&A on how the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act will impact the business community, grow the economy, create good jobs, enhance our competitiveness, and make our economy more sustainable. This forum will be an opportunity to learn more about the funding included in the federal infrastructure deal and discuss how these funds can help support the local business community. Infrastructure is a critical driver of increased investment, job creation, and overall economic growth. It is imperative that we support policies that will increase investment in key infrastructure projects and modernize how our future transportation system is funded and managed. America’s highways, bridges, railways, airports, transit systems, and waterways are deteriorating due to inevitable wear and tear. America’s transportation infrastructure provides an opportunity for policymakers to reinvest in a critical driver of our entire economy. This event will feature elected officials and subject matter experts that will share their insights and perspectives on how this historic funding will advance America’s long-term prosperity and competitiveness by investing in urgently needed upgrades to our nation’s infrastructure. The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act provides needed investments to: Upgrade aging water systems, many of which still use lead pipes; Restore our transportation systems and expand capacity to reduce congestion; Deliver broadband access and clean energy to more communities; and Make our infrastructure more resilient in the face of a changing climate and cyberattacks.
