"Der Hamburger Hafen" is a documentary film produced by Tobis-Melofilm GmbH in 1937, showcasing the Port of Hamburg. This 16mm film was utilised for promotional purposes, with screenings such as the "Hamburger Hafenabend" in Leipzig on March 9, 1938, aimed at highlighting the port's significance. Tobis Film was a German film company that produced both feature films and documentaries in 1938. One of the most well-known documentary films associated with that period is Olympia by Leni Riefenstahl, which documented the 1936 Berlin Olympics. This film was distributed worldwide by Tobis Filmkunst in 1938. Another documentary from that year was Hermann Göring, produced by Degeto-Kulturfilm GmbH in collaboration with Tobis Film GmbH & Co. KG (Berlin). A "Time Capsule of Film" is a collection or archive of cinematic works that captures and preserves moments from the past, providing a window into history and culture. It's like a treasure trove of movies and videos that serve as a representation of specific periods, societies, and human experiences. Just like a traditional time capsule stores artifacts for future generations, a "Time Capsule of Film" serves a similar purpose, but through the medium of film.
