What if Anakin NEVER FORGOT What the Son of Mortis Showed Him? The shriek of artillery blasts echoes across the alien landscape. Clone troopers in Phase II armor sprint through the undergrowth, their white plates illuminated by neon flora. The distant thunder of Separatist cannon fire sends plumes of fiery blooms into the sky. Hovering gunships weave between giant mushroom stalks, searching for a safe landing zone. In the midst of the chaos, Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano, and Obi-Wan Kenobi lead the 501st Legion and the 212th Attack Battalion in a final push against entrenched Separatist lines. Spores sparkle in the air with each explosion. Ahsoka (shouting over the din): Master, we can’t push much further without heavy support! Anakin (eyes narrow): Then we’ll create our own support! Rex, push forward and draw their fire. Obi-Wan and I will cut through to the forward cannons. Captain Rex, helmet tucked under his arm, nods firmly. Rex: On it, General! 501st, you heard him—move out! As Separatist B2 super battle droids unleash streams of fire, Anakin and Obi-Wan slice through them with swift lightsaber strokes. Ahsoka leaps onto a fallen tree trunk, deflecting shots back at the advancing droids. Her dual lightsabers dance in a blur of green and yellow-white. Ahsoka (with a grin): You know, Master, I was really looking forward to some shore leave after Mortis. Anakin (grimly parrying a volley): Shore leave’s going to have to wait, Snips. They press on, forcing the remaining droids to retreat. Suddenly a deafening thunderclap resonates as a Separatist tri-droid lumbers into view, launching a hail of lasers. The troopers scramble for cover behind massive glowing mushrooms. Obi-Wan (dry wit): I miss the days when we just had droidekas. These tri-droids take all the fun out of it. Anakin: Then let’s end the fun quickly. Follow my lead! With unspoken coordination, Anakin and Obi-Wan charge. The tri-droid rotates its top cannon, unleashing a withering barrage. Anakin vaults high, deflecting the blasts mid-air. Meanwhile, Obi-Wan rolls under the creature, plunging his blade into its central joint. Sparks fly. Ahsoka leaps across the fungal canopy, flanking the droid from behind. She slashes a power cable, sending it crashing onto its side in a whirl of snapping vines and spitting fire. Within minutes, the Separatists’ main artillery is destroyed, and clone troopers secure the perimeter. The swirling smoke clears. Obi-Wan (catching his breath): That should keep them busy while we— Ahsoka (commlink crackles): Incoming transmission from Admiral Yularen, Master. He says General Plo Koon has arrived to reinforce our position. Anakin: Perfect. Let’s rendezvous with Plo Koon, then head back to Coruscant.
