HUMANKIND 2 Needs These Changes! | Humankind 2 Wishlist

Humankind (Humankind 1 from now on?) may be due a sequel. Let's creatively call it HUMANKIND 2. Today I'd like to chat about my Humankind 2 gameplay wishlist. Let's consider what a sequel might do differently around balance, yields, cultures/ civ-switching, eras, diplomacy and the AI, combat, and leader personas. It's not a full list, but I touch on most of the core gameplay mechanics and how I think they could evolve or be refined. With Civilization 7 struggling to handle civ switching, and Humankind's own struggles, nothing is certain and I'll speculate on different directions HK2 could take throughout the video. Developments like Civ 7, Endless Legend 2, and the Amplitude-SEGA breakup could have an impact too. No official news announcement about a Humankind 2 release date (or existence!) has been revealed, though Amplitude Studio's have talked publicly about a sequel to Humankind (link in sources below).
