New for the 2024-25 winter season, the new Wilbere was installed by Doppelmayr replacing the Wilbere Double in a different alignment. The new Wilbere ends at the same location as the old chair, but its bottom terminal is now situated next to Mid-Gad and Gadzoom in the Creekside Base unlike the double, which started a tad bit higher close to the Snowbird Center. This effectively means that riding Wilbere can access the Snowbird Center a lot more directly than a long ride up Mid-Gad or Gadzoom. This lift largely services the same terrain as its predecessor, with all runs (including Wilbere Ridge and the Race Hill) now lappable. This is the first new lift for Snowbird in a decade after the Gad 2 replacement. This is also the first fixed-grip at Snowbird that is not a double as had previously been the case. Wilbere features a loading conveyor for faster travel speed and features wind-resistant carriers common at detachable quads around the resort. Overall, Snowbird made the right call and Wilbere will be an important machine for so many years to come.
