Solvay Bank Testimonial - Solvay Bank Enhances Their Analytics Program with Cognos Analytics

Andrew March, VP, Senior Commercial Loan Officer, discusses working with LPA to enhance Solvay Bank's analytics capabilities with Cognos Analytics. Background: Solvay Bank wanted to expand upon the embedded Cognos Analytics capabilities provided by their FISERV application. The embedded version of Cognos Analytics could only report on data held in the FISERV application which limited the Analytics that could be performed. Solvay Bank was on v11 of Cognos Analytics and was not taking advantage of many of the advanced capability for visualization and self-service BI. Solvay Bank requested LPA’s assistance to create Reporting and Dashboards that utilize more of Cognos Analytics Advanced Capabilities. Results • Updated Reporting for Commercial Banking (migration of existing list reports) • Embedded content in Report Tabs (Links to Tableau, etc.) to co-locate information • LPA provided knowledge transfer to Solvay Bank on what LPA has developed • Provided additional Reporting/Dashboards LPA started with existing Fiserv reports and modernized them using updated layouts and visualizations. Then a workflow was created for the CFO to collaborate with every regional manager around their weekly & monthly activities. LPA also consolidated reviews incorporating loan maturity and credit line increases, new loan summaries including PPP, as well as various deposit transactions. Lastly, LPA incorporated an external data source containing credit information into the consolidated reports. As a result, Solvay’s CFO was able to have conversations with management and staff without the additional time and expense of consolidating data across multiple systems and many spreadsheets.
