Similar to Dynamax Latias, Dynamax Latios can also be defeated as Solo Battle. With some testing Dynamax Latios appears to have 23000 HP. However, it has slightly higher stats, with 0.75 CPM. Similar to Dynamax Latias, Dynamax Latios is also a Dragon/Psychic type Pokemon. This means, the same team defeated Dynamax Latias also works on Dynamax Latios. Dynamax Latios would use any 2 of Solarbeam/Psychic/Luster Purge/Dragon Claw as LARGE ATTACK and target move instead. As shown in the shorts, Solarbeam is the most preferable moveset if you are challenging it with a party of 4 players. However, in terms of Solo Battle, Solarbeam hits too hard. So, Psychic and Dragon type moves are still the one we would looking for. This time, we will take a step forward and challenge Dynamax Latios with a team of Lv40s Pokemon, where there is no Pokemon placed in the Powerspot. The moveset we are looking for is Dragon Claw and Psychic, with Dragon Claw being LARGE ATTACK. This is the reverse approach to Latias Solo Battle, where we hope Dynamax Latios would use Dragon Claw (3-bar) more frequently by having it to be LARGE ATTACK. The one main difference/specialty to this Solo Battle is, Dragon Claw hits too fast, such that Dynamax Latios has its 4th move ready earlier than other bosses. While we had emphasized on avoiding 4th hit, we would have to give up using charged moves in order to do that against Dynamax Latios. In the other hand, Dragon Claw hits extremely lightly compared to all other moves we have faced in the past. So, it is more optimal to focus on using Behemoth Blade/Shadow Ball this time, even in a cost of taking more damage per cycle. The team has defeated Dynamax Latios with a significant margin in the end, with 3 extra Max Moves to spare. In the other hand, we have also optimize the strategy against Dynamax Latias. With the optimization, we have found a way to defeat Dynamax Latias also with Lv40 teams. The main difference is, we realize we have extra time at the end in the previous Solo Battle. We used the extra time as Max Guard on Metagross, which in turn allow the team to survive another cycle. While we didn't gain any extra Max Moves from it, we were able to use a few extra Shadow Ball and Behemoth Blade. These few extra attacks were enough to compansate the power difference between Lv40s and Lv50s. We have also found a Dynamax Latias with Psychic/Outrage instead. This is due Metagross is able to afford tanking a few extra moves with Max Guard, where Crowned Sword Zacian has lower survivability against Outrage at Lv40. However, as we have mentioned, it is not ideal to charge Max Meter with Metagross since it lacks of powerful charged moves. So, we will only switch it in to Psychic and switch it out back to Crowned Sword Zacian after the move hit. The team has successfully defeated Dynamax Latias barely at the end. Team used: CP 2843 Gigantanax Gengar - Lv40 15/11/15 Shadow Claw/Shadow Ball/Lv3 G-Max Terror CP 4950 Crowned Sword Zacian - Lv40 13/15/15 Metal Claw/Behemoth Blade CP 3783 Dynamax Metagross - Lv40 15/14/15 Fury Cutter/Lv3 Max Guard
