This is my solo-piano transcription of the Mozart Concerto in C, K 467

This is one of the most delightful concertos for piano and orchestra in the entire repertoire. Mozart (1756-1791) wrote 27 piano concertos—far more than any other composer I know of. He wrote most of his piano concertos between 1782 and 1786. He wrote this one in 1785. It is technically more difficult than most of his others—Mozart’s father Leopold (his mentor) even marked on the “astonishing difficulties) here. It is in the standard three movements—-quicker first and last movements—-and a lovely lyrical slow second movement. The theme there is well-known, as it was used as the theme of the 1967 tragic-drama movie “Elvira Madigan”.
