1940 Conn 30I Double Bell Euphonium - The King of Quirks and Features

So yeah. I scored a massive bucket item and pretty much obsoletized all of my 9'Bb things by acquiring what has turned out to be the ultimate Euphonium. This 30I has lived a cherished life including at least one overhaul by the previous owner who had the Improved Precision era mouthpiece receiver installed. Simply put, there may be other Euphoniums which can outperform this one in any number of ways, but none will ever suit my preferences the way that this one can. It has a rich sound and plays like butter. Short action valves are incredible. Best of all, I can enjoy it with whatever normal shank mouthpiece I see fit. Regarding the small bell side of the horn, it's a bit disappointing from a musical experience standpoint. Rule of cool reigns supreme, but there is very limited practical application for this bizarrely stuffy instrument. It's basically just like using a mute. You'd expect it to absolutely rip, but it's too small. From this day forward, any insult I receive will be meaningless because I own a Double Bell Euphonium. Obviously using the JK Exclusive EU 12AK 7.6 in this video.
