Check out a night of country dancing at Big Texas Dance Hall and Saloon. Located in Spring TX, Big Texas Dance Hall and Saloon is the closest country dance hall to go country dancing near our dance studio located in The Woodlands. This is the first of many videos we will be posting as we travel to different country dance halls across Texas (and the rest of the country). We want to see what country dancing is like in other dance communities and always love meeting new people who love country dancing as much as we do. We recommend all of our students to check out Big Texas for "Wild On Wednesdays" which their best night for country dancing (and ladies get in free). Big Texas Spring has a "racetrack" style dance floor, which means it has an oval shaped dance floor with seating and bars located both on the inside and the outside of the dance floor. This set up is fantastic for dancing Two Step, Polka, and Waltz. These country dance style are progressive, so they work well with just traveling along the dance floor. Big Texas Spring plays a lot of great Two Step and Polka music with a good amount of Waltz, West Coast Swing, and Line Dancing mixed in to give it just enough variety to keep it fun without feeling monotonous. If you live in North Houston, or are visiting the area, we recommend that you definitely give Big Texas Spring a try. They have some big name country music artists visiting sometime for country concerts on Thursdays and Friday night, but if you are looking to go country dancing, there is no better night at Big Texas Spring than Wednesdays.
