A session showcasing leaders that are doing incredible work to uplift and support youth to unleash their curiosity, deepen their learning journeys, connect to community and grow into leaders that care for the world. About the speakers: Elizabeta Zijlstra Jovanovska Elizabeta Z. Jovanovska is a Transition explorer and a youth trainer and mentor. In her work, she combines non-formal education and self-led learning approaches to cultivate personal and community resilience skills among youth. Throughout the years, she has been involved in numerous local and international programs and projects focused on personal, social, and environmental transformation, youth empowerment, community development, creative expression, and self-exploration journeys. Elizabeta is passionate about raising awareness of the importance and joys of regenerative lifestyles and encouraging radical imagination for positive societal change. She is a part of the Transition Network International team, supporting the worldwide Transition movement in the Youth Engagement role and as the Lead of the Comms Circle. Che'vanni Davids Chévanni Davids moves between worlds as a father , educator, storyteller, and quiet mischief-maker from Johannesburg. Through Reimagined Learning Community, he stirs questions more than answers, weaving indigenous wisdom, unlearning, and ceremony into playful disruptions of what education could be. Ena Utevska Ena Utevska is a climate and social justice organiser, facilitator and activist. She is working as a Project Lead on urban climate resilience as part of the Education Department of Youth and Environment Europe. She has also co-founded a feminist youth-led collective for climate and social justice in North Macedonia, Kolektiv Z. Her academic research lies in exploring manifestations of educations beyond growth and imagining degrowth education practices based on well-being. Adrija Jana A selenophile at heart, Adrija embodies a quiet mystery and gentle understanding. A student of literature, Adrija is almost always weaving poetry and dreams on paper, in her heart, or in communities. She holds a strong passion for working towards access to education, gender rights, menstrual equity and mental well-being, and her art is her instrument for driving change. When she's not working, Adrija loves reading, spending time in nature, with children, and animals or travelling, which is a major inspiration for her life and art. ______________________________________ This session was recorded at the Re-Imagining Education Conference 5.0, fueled by the Ecoversities Alliance and partnering organizations and communities from around the world.
