Local Narok youth are set to benefit from 7,000 job opportunities after Quickmart celebrated the launch of its 60th Chain store in Narok town. Speaking during the colourful launch area leadership led by Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu called on the new management to consider local youth as per the recently passed County Assembly Strategic Management Plan which must target 90 percent locals. Ole Ntutu further made an appeal to the management to source for farm produce from among the 70 percent of local farmers. Ntutu’s sentiments were echoed by Lydiah Ntimama a former Woman Representative aspirant who represented her family with Narok County Commissioner Reuben Lotatia cautioning against sale of counterfeit alcohol at the facility. Betty Wa Maitha Chief Marketing Officer said in an interview that as an entity they were upbeat to do business in the area with priority being the face of Narok. Wamaitha announced a low drop offer of prices across display for household food stuffs among others thereby making a passionate appeal to locals to take advantage which will last up to end of this month. The entity is set to offer direct employment opportunities to 7,000 staff and shall target fresh farm produce delivery from 14,500 plus farmers in the County.
