Speaker 1: Today on our 2010 Volvo XC60, we're going to be taking a look at, and show you how to install the Tekonsha T1 vehicle wiring harness with 4-pole flat trailer connector. Part number 118739. This is what our wiring's going to look like when it's installed. It's going to live inside of the vehicle. It's going to give us both turn signals, our ground wire, our brake lights, and our running lights. It's also going to give us five amps per circuit for our stop and turn signals, and 7.5 amps for our running lights. Now when we're not using it, we can simply roll it up and store it right in the container in the back of our vehicle. When we're ready to use it, we simply pull it out. Want to make sure it runs over this rubber seal. Stay away from any contact points or connection points between your hatch and your bumper. You can see it gives you plenty to get to your trailer wiring, or whatever it is you may be hooking up to. It's also going to come with an attached dust cap, it's going to protect your connection points from any dirt, debris, anything like that.As far as the installation goes, pretty straight forward installation. Now that we've gone over some of the features, let me show you how I did it. First thing we need to do, is get in the back of our vehicle. We need to remove our center panels here. Next on our driver and passenger side, you're going to have a panel like this. Need to go ahead and pull those out. Next thing you want to do is take a pull wire, you can take a piece of hanger, and right on the inside here, there's a hole. On the body, up underneath, in between the outside panel and inside there's a little vent. And what that's for is when you slam the doors on the car, those vents pop open and that's to release air inside the car, so you don't break your windows. So what we did is we passed her wire right through the vent, and out the bottom. This is where our black wire that's running up to the front of the vehicle, our power wire, is going to be ran to go outside of the vehicle. Now we'll unplug our light, little tab just like that. Push on it, and pull out. We're going to take the yellow end of our wiring harness, and we're going to go underneath the panel, and up here. Just like that. And then we're just going to match our plugs. Next, we'll take our two sided tape that comes in our kit, put it on the back of our module box here. Make sure you press it into place. There we go to the other side, I'm going to put it right on top of this piece of foam here. Next thing we need to do, is there our ground wire. You pull this panel, you have two wires here. Our kit comes with a self tapping screw, but we don't want to put another hole in the body if we have access to a bolt that's already in, or a factory ground. So we're going to go ahead and use that.Go ahead and use a 10 millimeter socket to remove it. Once you've attached your ground wire, replace your nut, and tighten it back into place. In your kit, you're going to get a bunch of black wire. This is your power wire that's going to be run up to the front, to the battery. What I'm to do, is I'm going to attach it to my airline tube here. If you're using a wire or a wire hanger, or something, just put it on the side and tape it to it. Push it in like that.I'm going to pull this in, up through. Just like that. Now we're going to take it and we're going to feed it behind our panel and come out down here. Going to strip back the end. In your kit, you're going to get a butt connector. Go ahead and add one on. You have a black wire coming off your box. Put that into the other end of the butt connector. Crimp it down. And I'm going to take some electrical tape, and go ahead and put it around that connector, to make sure nothing gets inside of the ends of it.Now we need to route our green wire over our passenger side. I don't want to run it across my tire in case this needs to be removed, so what I'm going to do is, you have two bolts, you have one here, and you have one here for this sill panel. Eight millimeter socket, we're going to go ahead and remove those. Don't need to take it off, I'm just pulling it up enough that I can take my wire and tuck it up inside there. Then over here on the passenger side, we're going to have a panel, go ahead and remove it. We're going to do the same thing we did on the driver side. Two ends together. Reinstall your panel. Once you're done
