The initial reaction is fear about losing control over testing and assessments, which is understandable. The next question to ask is: if AI offers us a wider range of human knowledge, what should be our next steps for educational outcomes? Should we keep learners separate from AI results? or should we raise educational goals? The answer is clear: 21st-century citizens face a far more complex society and a much more profound existential dilemma. Human learning goes beyond just acquiring knowledge and behavioral skills. It is about growing into creative problem-solvers within the framework of human values and sustainability. Relying only on factual expertise, as we have historically focused on in education, is no longer enough and requires a much higher goal. Education is still in its early stages. Ultimately, teachers will be the ones to implement learning outcomes that include AI. Curricular and testing institutions will follow.
