#ScubaDiving #Bali #NusaPenida #4K #BatCave Scuba Diving Bali - Chapter 4: The Ceningan Passage and The Bat Cave The Dive Sites: Toyapakeh (North & South), Ceningan Wall, The Bat Cave and Crystal Bay Toyapakeh (meaning "saltwater" in Balinese) is at the north end of the deep channel between Penida and Ceningan. It offers a terraced reef in the north, huge hard coral bommies in the bay and a steep wall to the south. Drifting with the current at this site gives you the possibility of seeing anything and everything – Mola Mola (Oceanic Sunfish), Eagle Rays, Morays, and large schools of Surgeonfish and Red-Tooth Triggerfish can all be spotted here. Ceningan Wall experiences strong currents that constantly change direction, making it ideal only for strong and accomplished divers. Crystal Bay is an inlet situated right in the channel between Nusa Penida and Nusa Caningan. Crystal Bay, which is also referred to as the Penida Bay, is regarded as the best dive site in Bali to see the elusive Mola-Mola (the Ocean sunfish) during the high season, which occurs from July to mid-November. Aquatic life that can be seen here includes Sweetlips, Angelfish, Banded Sea Snakes, Frogfish, and many Moorish Idols. Other marine life forms which you can see from this bay are Eagle Rays, Reef Sharks, and, if you're fortunate, Wobbegong Sharks. Another attraction of Crystal Bay is a Bat Cave accessible only from the water. The surface of the inside of the cave is open to the sky and plays host to bats that sleep overhead. From time to time, large waves may come in through the top of the cave. 0:00 Dive Sites 0:12 The Dive Sites in Detail 1:26 Toyapakeh (North) 6:10 Toyapakeh 8:34 Toyapakeh (South) 10:43 Ceningan Wall 13:40 The Bat Cave 15:50 Crystal Bay 17:41 Return to Shore & Unloading Dive Gear Additional GoPro footage by Rich Horner ( • The ocean currents brought us in a lo... ).
